Why we are doing this
For most foster teens, life is marked by instability and uncertainty. While finding a permanent home is the ultimate goal, the reality is that many foster teens are in and out of homes, sometimes even spending just one night in a new place before moving on. This constant upheaval can make it difficult for foster teens to feel any sense of ownership or control over their lives. That's why at FosterUp, we focus on providing these teens with the tools they need to escape, relax, and feel a sense of normalcy.
Supplying foster teens with items like a Nintendo Switch, a phone, or a Spotify subscription, these teens can pass the time in a way that feels fun, engaging, and fulfilling.
With access to positive forms of entertainment and activities, foster kids are less likely to engage in criminal behavior or other destructive activities. These resources give foster teens a way to unwind and escape from the stresses of their everyday lives, whether that's through gaming, music, or socializing with friends.
